Prepare your financial documents for grant and loan opportunities, and understand Profit & Loss statements.

Craft and practice your pitch for competitions, video submissions, and investor conversations.

You'll hear from community partners about funding opportunities and useful resources for businesses so you can use everything you've learned to move your business forward!

Q: Is this course just for women?
A: No. We've specifically designed this course for those traditionally underfunded as business owners and entrepreneurs, which includes women, people of color, and those in the LGBTQ+ community. However, all are welcome to apply.
Q: Can I sign up for just one of the weekly classes?
A: No. When you sign up, you're agreeing to attend all four of the weekly classes to ensure you have everything you need to apply for funding opportunities like Michigan Tribe micro-grants, Michigan Women Forward micro-loans, and pitch competitions.
Q: What kinds of businesses are a good fit for this course?
A: The course is designed for a variety of businesses, including brick and mortar, franchises, service-based businesses, multi-passionate entrepreneurs, and more. It's best for those ready to start or grow their business, but they need funding to do so.
Q: Do I have to attend live?
A: Yes. It's best that you attend each class live (whether you choose in-person or virtual), since there will be an interactive component to ensure your business moves forward and is ready for funding opportunities.
