THE ORGANIZATION
Michigan Tribe is a community-driven organization supporting female entrepreneurs and women business owners through events, education, and access to funding opportunities. By breaking down barriers around grants, financial systems, and business resources, Michigan Tribe makes these tools more accessible, understandable, and actionable for women building businesses.
To date, we have facilitated over $100,000 in grant funding in Jackson County, Michigan and nearly $100,000 more across the region, while equipping women with the knowledge, confidence, and support needed to build meaningful, sustainable businesses and strengthen local communities.

THE LEADERS
Alex Masten brings both heart and structure to Michigan Tribe. A longtime collaborator with Amanda (and her real-life sister), Alex leads the organization’s giving initiatives with intention and impact. As Director of Entrepreneur Services at Lean Rocket Lab, she coaches entrepreneurs through barriers and growth moments using sharp questioning, practical business insight, and a deep commitment to helping others win. Alex is also an entrepreneur, with a photography practice centered on empowering women, embracing nature, and creating space for intentional, creative work. She thrives in real talk, bold energy, and helping people take their next step — one idea at a time.

Amanda Loveland is a seasoned entrepreneur who founded Michigan Tribe and Wealth University, a former virtual life and business coaching program for women. Known for her whip-smart sarcasm, passionate feminism, and relentless honesty, she now serves as Executive Director of an arts organization, co-leads Michigan Tribe, and is a proud mom. A bold visionary, Amanda isn’t afraid to ask tough questions, call out the BS, and find ways to blend true crime with entrepreneurship.
